Connect an AI app
OptionsWave is a remote MCP server: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code can read the earnings scanner, each row’s evidence, the outcome review and the PEAD signals, and answer your questions with them. The app signs in with your OptionsWave account; you allow it once and can disconnect it from your account page at any time. It reads what your account opens and cannot change anything.
What you need
An OptionsWave account (create one), an AI app that takes custom connectors or MCP servers, and this address:
https://optionswave.com/api/mcp
Add it to your app
Menu names move between releases (these are October 2026’s); the address and the sign-in stay the same.
ChatGPT
- Open Settings, then Apps (or Connectors). Under Advanced, turn on developer mode; a Business or Enterprise workspace may need its admin to allow it.
- Create a connector: name it OptionsWave, paste the address, and choose OAuth as the authentication.
- ChatGPT opens OptionsWave: sign in and choose Allow. Then turn the connector on in a chat and ask.
Gemini app
- In the Gemini web app, open Settings, then Connected apps, and choose Add a custom app.
- Paste the address and follow the prompts: sign in to OptionsWave and choose Allow.
- Google offers custom apps to personal accounts in the US for now; work accounts use Gemini Enterprise, which takes the same address.
Claude (web, desktop and mobile)
- Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
- Paste the address, then Connect: sign in to OptionsWave and choose Allow.
- The connector then appears in Claude on every device you sign in to.
Claude Code
- Add the server, then run /mcp in Claude Code and choose OptionsWave to sign in.
claude mcp add --transport http optionswave https://optionswave.com/api/mcp
Cursor
- Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or the project’s .cursor/mcp.json), then choose Connect next to OptionsWave in Cursor’s MCP settings to sign in.

"optionswave": {

}
}
}VS Code (Copilot)
- Add this to .vscode/mcp.json or your user MCP settings, then start the server: VS Code asks you to sign in.
{

}Gemini CLI
- Add this to ~/.gemini/settings.json, then run /mcp auth optionswave in Gemini CLI to sign in.

}Any other MCP client
- Add a remote MCP server with the Streamable HTTP transport and this address. The client finds the sign-in itself (OAuth 2.1 with dynamic registration).
What to ask
- “Which stocks are CANDIDATE in today’s earnings scan, and what are the priced move and the last four reaction-day moves of each?”
- “Why is NKE a PASS? Show me the four past reports against what the options price.”
- “Which PEAD signals are new this week, with their entry and exit dates and how the rule did on each stock?”
- “In the outcome review, how often did a CANDIDATE’s report move more than the options priced?”
Apps that show MCP prompts also offer these ready-made ones:
- Today’s candidates and why: The scan’s CANDIDATE rows, each with the numbers behind it
- Explain a PASS: Why the scanner set a stock aside
- This week’s PEAD signals: New PEAD signals and exits, with their dates and the stock’s backtest
What the app can read
| scanner_list | Today’s earnings scan, ranked by gap, 20 rows a page: status, priced and historical move, report date, snapshot |
| scanner_row | One row’s full evidence: contract and quotes, the four past reports, the reason for its status |
| outcome_review | What happened after past reports, beside what the options priced (a review, not option profit) |
| next_earnings | A stock’s next earnings date and timing |
| pead_dashboard | Every stock’s PEAD state under rule pead-v1, with its backtest figures, 15 a page |
| pead_symbol | One stock’s PEAD page: state, dates, yearly results and every release (the charts stay on the site) |
| pead_status, pead_track_record | Which session PEAD is published for, and the closed trades so far |
| dated_samples | The published, frozen examples, one per strategy |
How to read the answers
The app gets the same figures as these pages, and the rules for reading them. Every figure names its snapshot or session. A CANDIDATE only says the last four reports moved more than the options price; a past move is not option profit, because the straddle also loses time value and the spread and fees are not deducted. Each PEAD signal is a model signal, not advice: no sizing and no stop. Nothing here is investment advice.
If it does not connect
| The app asks you to sign in again | The connection ended: you disconnected it, or it was unused for 30 days. Sign in and allow it again. |
| Answers ask you to confirm your email | Open the link we sent when you signed up, then ask again. |
